Installing SU Podium for SketchUp

The SU Podium installation process is dependant on the version that you are installing, and whether or not you have a previous version installed.

Reminder - SU Podium V2.5 and V2.6 licenses are not interchangeable. Make sure you download the version you own.

  • SU Podium V2.5 licenses contain 16 letters and numbers -- xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • SU Podium V2.6 licenses contain 18 letters and numbers, staring with 'PD' -- PDxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

SU Podium V2.6 installation guides

Installing SU Podium V2.6 for the first time - (.RBZ installer )

  • You are installing SU Podium for the first time ever on a device.
  • Or you are installing SU Podium for the first time in a new SketchUp version. For example: you just updated from SketchUp 2021 to 2022, and need to install SU Podium.
  • It's best to Deactivate your Podium V2.6 license before updating your SketchUp version.

  • School labs or corporations with more than one user per computer - Scroll to the .exe/pkg documentation below.

Updating to SU Podium V2.6.048 (or newer) from previous V2.6.04x(or older).

Read here if you are installing an incremental V2.6.xxx update within the same SketchUp version. For example — you currently SU Podium V2.6.047 for SketchUp 2021 installed, and are updating to V2.6.048 for SketchUp 2022.

SU Podium V2.6.048 uses a different installation method than any previous SU Podium version, and also changes the default install directory. If you are updating to V2.6.048 or newer within the same SketchUp version:

  • You must uninstall your previous version before installing V2.6.04x
  • V2.6 users should deactivate their license before updating to V2.6.048 or newer.

First time install — SU Podium V2.6 from .exe or .pkg installer

  • You are installing an SU Podium V2.6 for the first time on a device, or for the first time in a new SketchUp version.
  • If you are a school or a corporation with mutliple user accounts per computer, these executable installs will work better than RBZ installs.

Upgrading from SU Podium V2.5 to V2.6

You currently have SU Podium V2.5 installed and need to upgrade to V2.6 within the same SketchUp version.

  • You must uninstall SU Podium V2.5 before installing V2.6
  • V2.5 users need to upgrade their license in order to activate V2.6.

Installing SU Podium V2.5 for the first time

  • You are installing SU Podium for the first time ever on a device.
  • Or you are installing SU Podium for the first time in a new SketchUp version. For example: you just updated from SketchUp 2021 to 2021, and need to install SU Podium.
  • No uninstall is required in either case.

Updating SU Podium V2.5 within the same SketchUp version.

  • Read here if you are installing an incremental V2.5.xxx update within the same SketchUp version.
  • OFor example — you currently SU Podium V2.5.904 for SketchUp 2019 installed, and need to update to V2.5.908 for SketchUp 2019.
  • You must uninstall the old version first
