 What's New in SU Podium — October 2020

 SU Podium V2.6.046 was released

SU Podium V2.6.046 was released containing two minor bugfixes.

  • Toggle point/spot lights - The command to toggle all point/spot lights on and off was broken in the previous two SU Podium versions. This tool is now fixed in V2.6.046.
  • Deactivtion bug - V2.6.046 fixes a bug that prevented some users from deactivating their license from the license manager. This caused users to reach the activation limit when updating SU Podium or swtiching computers.

This is a free update for licensed SU Podium V2.6 users. Please remember to deactivate your current version in the license manager, then uninstall V2.6.04x before you install V2.6.046. Detailed updating procedures are found on this page.

 Tutorial - Basic lighting for scenic design

This is a beginner level tutorial for scenic designers who want to add realistic lighting to theatrical sets in SketchUp.

  1. Setting up a dark lighting environment to simulate the inside of a theater
  2. Adding spotlights and adjusting their color, radius, and intensiy.
  3. Add blurred reflection to the stage to give it a more lifelike appearance.
