SketchUp 8 on the Mac
If you wish to see where all the files and folders of SU Podium V2 are located for SketchUp on the Mac for some reason or want to remove them manually, go to your Macintosh HD\Library\Application Support\Google SketchUp 8\Google SketchUp\Plugins\ folder and see these files and folders. If for some reason the Mac uninstall program did not work, remove these files and folders manually.
- SU_Podium_V2.rbs
- SU_Podium_V2 folder
- SU_Podium_Browser.rbs if it exists
- SUPodium_Section_Tool.rbs if it exists
- PodiumSections folder if it exists
- EditInPlace.rbs if it exists
Macintosh HD folder is often referred to as the Global directory. It will be listed as one of your devices in Finder. If it is not listed in Finder, go to Finder Preferences, Sidebar and check Hard disks under Devices. You may need to go to the General icon in Finder Preferences and make sure Macintosh HD is listed in "New Finder windows show:"
Finder not displaying hidden folders and files such as MacIntosh-->Library? open terminal and enter this to view hidden files: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder
Their are other Mac apps that will display hidden folders and files. One is Tweaks. We do not endorse this product but it is one way to display hidden folders and files in Lion, Mt.Lion and Maverick. The Mt. Lion version works with Maverick.
