Turn this model into a beautifully rendered image simply by dropping in Podium render ready materials and components.
If you want to follow along with the SU Podium Browser video tutorial and use the same Podium Browser materials and components, please read below.
- Download the base model here. This model is SketchUp 7 based but you can open it in SketchUp 8 or newer.
- Following along the tutorial portion of the SU Podium Browser video.
- The table below has the components and materials used to create the photo-realistic image in the video tutorial.
- For the Podium Materials which are downloaded as cubes, the fastest method is to download all the Podium Material cubes as you need into the model and then delete the cubes. The materials themselves will be retained in the model and can be accessed from the SketchUp Materials, In-Model dialog.

Ceiling beams or truss | wood 11 | Podium Materials/ Wood | Suggestion: open one of the truss instances using Edit In Place because placing the material on all the faces is difficult. However, not all the trusses are instanced. All the trusses are on Studs or Studs1 layer. If you use Edit In Place, you will need to download the wood 11 material in the new SketchUp instance. |
Glass in the Windows | glass_thin_02 | Podium Materials/ Transparent | You can do this by editing one instance of the Window group or use Edit In Place. |
Door Handle | chrome | Podium Materials/ Metal | It's recommended to open the instanced Window components using Edit In Place and then open the door handle group in another instance using Edit In Place and then download Chrome material into the new SketchUp instance. Save after pasting the material to the door handle surface and close. Then save the Window group and close. |
Window Frame | white color | SketchUp Materials/ Color | Suggestion: After adding the glass material to the Windows, simple assign a white color to the Window group. |
Outside Patio | Paving_18 | / Textures/ Paving | The free textures are different from the rest of the Browser. They are drag and drop items. Once you drop the texture thumbnail into the model, you can paint the texture on to the SketchUp face using the SketchUp Materials In model dialog |
Grass | Grass_01 | / Textures/ Ground | The free textures are different from the rest of the Browser. They are drag and drop items. Once you drop the texture thumbnail into the model, you can paint the texture on to the SketchUp face using the SketchUp Materials In model dialog |
