Early January has been all about interiors on the Podium forums! So far this month, we've seen two excellent threads from "Kelleu" including a bedroom and a great looking study. Sanne Jansen and Andrew Chaloupka both had beautiful new apartment images to show, and Sam Powell re-imagined the classroom in this incredible visualization package showing off an innovative modular desk system. Sam even included an animation, depicting his classroom re-design in action; check it out!

SU Podium V2.19.00 is a new version that employs a new Podium Exporter that is written in C++. Previous versions used a very efficient ruby code to export SketchUp geometry, textures, camera position to Podium's raytracing engine. However, the new C++ Podium Exporter can export geometry and textures (materials) to the raytracing engine at speeds up to 10 times faster. For larger models, the difference can be several minutes or more in rendering time.
TIFF texture files are currently incompatible with all 64-bit versions of SU Podium for Mac. If Podium crashes at render time in a 64 bit version of Podium for Mac, it is likely you have TIFF files in your file. (Read more about this bug here).
We have written a new Podium Tools Analyse, that can flag .tif or .tiff files and provide you with the file names. Please download and install it here. The installation file is an .rbz file and will create a different SU Podium V2 Plus Tools menu item.
