In this section there are several sample models that you are welcome to download and to open.
These are SketchUp 7 models but will work in SketchUp 8 and newer. Use these models to test the rendering capabilities of SU Podium V2/V2+, and get a feel for how Podium’s light and material settings work.
Please Note – The images shown on this page all use SU Podium’s Physical Sky. Turn on Shadows and then go to the Options settings and in the Environment tab, make sure Physical Sky is on. The output resolution is up to you.

Barcelona Pavilion
The famous Barcelona Pavilion is duplicated in this model. V2 properties have been applied to textures so you can render immediately. In the SU Podium V2 options icon, set the preset to default. Turn on your SketchUp shadows. Turn on the Options/ Environment Physical Sky.

Courtyard – Automatic Materials Sample Scene
This model has no Podium properties set on any of the materials. However, since the model uses SketchUp 7 or 8 standard materials, Podium applies certain reflection, refraction, bump, blur properties to these materials automatically. You can use exterior_default.pps preset on this.

Caretaker House
Caretaker House has several Scenes setup that are ready to render. Each scene has some hidden groups or layers to demonstrate various V2 properties. Use interior_default presets for interior scenes.

Sponza
The Sponza model is ready for “out-of-the-box” rendering. No V2 properties have been applied. The above image is using Exterior-QMC presets but the model is ready to render with the Default preset. The rendering demonstrates how well V2’s Global Illumination works.

Ando
The Ando model is a great study of rendering interiors with no artificial lighting. The floor has blurred reflections. The interior is too dark for the Default preset as is. It is recommended that you use the interior-default preset.

Pavilion model using Podium Browser Content
The Pavilion model is a good example of using Podium Browser Paid content in your model to obtain very quick render-ready designs. This image was rendered using Options settings: interior-default preset with Physical Sky on. Make sure SketchUp shadows are on to get the same effect.

Bathroom design using Podium Browser Content
The Bathroom design model has several scenes that show different Podium render ready content from the Podium Browser. It is a very good example of how you can visualize and design to obtain best design results using SketchUp, SU Podium and the paid content of Podium Browser. This image uses interior-default preset with Physical Sky on but for best results use interior_qmc preset and with a large resolution.
